Ramp-Up Your Iced Tea Game
Do you need alternatives for juices, pops and popsicles for your kids this summer?
Herbal and fruit teas/tisanes are a wonderful substitution for those sugary juices, pops and popsicles that your kids harass you for. You can make these tisanes into an iced tea your kids will love using the addition of different fruits and sweeteners that follow your keto, vegan or paleo lifestyle. (The pictures in this post show our Berry Berry loose leaf tea).
1. Make your iced tea into popsicles
Shake things up a bit this summer and turn them into popsicles for your kids. The best thing about this is that you get to control the type and how much sugar/sweetener is added.
Tip 1: Add some frozen berries to the popsicles before you freeze them.
Tip 2: If you find adding ice cubes to your iced tea waters it down too much, then freeze some of the tea into cubes and add the frozen tea cubes to the iced tea.
If you are not sure what type of herbal tea to buy....try out our herbal tea sampler. My absolute favorite iced tea is the Peach Ice Cream but they are all delicious.

Tip 2: Add Fresh herbs or fruits to your iced tea.
Herbs or roots like:
- peppermint or spearmint
- basil
- ginger
- jasmine
- camomile
- thyme
- lemon balm or lemon grass
- lavender
- stevia leaves
- rosemary
Fruit or juices like:
- orange slices
- pomegranate juice
- watermelon
- peach
- lemon or lime
- raspberries, strawberries, blueberries
- pineapple
- mango
Tip 3: Add different sweeteners for different flavours.
Common sweeteners can be added to control the sweetness of the iced tea such as:
- honey
- maple syrup
- agave
- molasses
- stevia
- sugar
- brown sugar
- splenda
- monkfruit
- swerve
- prepared lemonade
