What is blooming tea?
Blooming tea has many other names such as artisan tea, flowering tea, craft tea, display teas, hand-sewn teas, etc. Each blooming tea is hand-sewn by an expert craftsperson. These teas are not only a treat to the nose and palate but are especially aesthetically appealing as they “unfurl”.
These blooming teas are a mix of tea (green, black or oolong) all coming from the camellia sinensis plant and tisanes which may include flowers, herbs, and spices. Some of the flowers used in blooming teas include Jasmine, Lily, Marigold, Lavender, Amaranth, Chrysanthemum, and Osmanthus.
