Now for the real magic. Brew a cup of butterfly blue pea, squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into your cup and the deep blue liquor will turn a handsome purple. Wow! Why? Blue pea reacts to the pH level of whatever you add to the cup. If that isn't magic we don't know what is.
We've taken the magical qualities of this fabulous flower and boosted them one step further by grinding it in our traditional matcha mill. In its powdered form, the leaves themselves are consumed when brewed, helping your body maximize the antioxidant benefits of this magical flower. Say, 'open sesame' and gulp it down.
IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE: 85ºC/185ºF. For Food Safety reasons bring water to 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to 85ºC/185ºF.
HOT BREWING METHOD: Bring filtered or freshly drawn water to a rolling boil and let cool to roughly 180'F/82'C. Place approximately half a teaspoon of Matcha in your cup. Infuse with 8oz/250ml of water, whisk briskly and enjoy.
