INFORMATION:

As with all festivals in Japan, the Sendai Tanabata festival is a great time for drinking tea! To do our part, we've created this fabulous blend of green tea and lemon to commemorate the undying nature of the love shared by the star-crossed couple. As your kettle brews, we're going to make a prediction: you are about to fall in love with your next cup of tea!

A little about our base tea:
This decaf Sencha style green tea was grown and produced in China's Hunan Province. The exceptional leaf is decaffeinated using Metropolitan Tea's patented Canadian Chemical Free CO2 process. During the process, naturally occurring CO2 is circulated under high pressure to extract caffeine. Not only is this process completely chemical free and kind to the environment, it leaves none of the chemical flavor residue associated with chemically decaffeinated teas. The light, fresh taste that is the result makes this tea a natural for blending with dried fruits and herbs.

HOT BREWING METHOD:
Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil and allow to cool to 85ºC/185ºF. . Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea).
